Cycling to work

Cycling for 80km before work is proving to be quite a challenge. I end up getting to work at about 11.30 and as a consequence leave work at about 8pm. So in order to win back some time, I’ve decided to start cycling to work and have a shower there.

It worked! I managed to get to work at about 10 am, and ten minutes later I was at my desk all showered and ready to go. I really enjoyed the ride today, the weather was great – sunny with a slight breeze to keep me cool. On my ride I circled the airport passing through Mosta (starting point), Rabat, Siggiewi, Mqabba, Hal Kirkop, Hal Safi, Zurrieq, Gudja, Luqa & Rahal Gdid. I tracked my ride on GPS and plotted the points on a Google Map. Just a small note for those of you who know where I work – my mobile’s battery died towards the end of the ride so that’s why the track stops at Luqa.

The only problem with the new plan is that I have to cycle back home after work. I was feeling really sleepy and was worried that I might make some stupid mistake on the road and get hurt. That’s when great friends come to the rescue … thanks a lot for the lift home Kurt :)
