Some of you might have noticed entries in my training schedule marked as injured. It seems I’ve inflamed the Iliotibial band around the knee region. I’m not good at explaining this medical problems, but basically I need to rest until my leg got better. For more information you can have a look at the Wikipedia article . Was visiting the physio nearly everyday to try to get the problem solved as soon as possible. So, all in all, not a good surprise.
Today I went off for a morning 4 hour ride alone. Still not fully recovered from my injury, and really wishing I could have spent a couple of extra hours in bed, my morale wasn’t too high and was dying to go home and skip the session. To help motivate myself I decided to change my normal route and head out to Ghajn Tuffieha. There, to my surprise, I found David and Peter on a short break (or that’s what they said
) . I tagged along with them on their way back to Sliema, and I really enjoyed the ride. Meeting them was really a morale booster, so a big thanks goes out to them

Don’t let the knee problem get you down but if you have to rest it do so, don’t worry if you skip a few sessions we cant make every KM we are meant to.
keep up the good work not long to go now! All the hard work and long training will pay off when we are climbing that 30km St.Gotthard pass!
Ian
Thanks for the encouragement Ian
See you tomorrow … sleep well
Hey man
I hurt that band thing down the outside of my knee from too much downhill running! Very sore and had to stop running for a week.
Hope yours stays well!
